Salimeh

“ I'm creative, love colours, shapes and lines, and I bring them to my choreographies & costumes. My aim for every performance is to see the joy and happiness of my late mom on the faces of the audience.”

Alberto

“ I go by the Bollywood Latin Prince. I'm a showman. I bring passion when I perform in front of a big crowd, and I bring humor when I teach a big crowd, to get them loose and make them laugh and dance even better.”

Our Story

Our partnership started on the night of one of the biggest salsa competitions in Toronto, at a salsa club called 6 Degrees at Yonge and Eglinton.

I, Salimeh, went to Alberto and said: "Hi Alberto (the dancer I'm meeting for the 3rd time), have you heard about the salsa competition that's happening tonight?"

Alberto: "Yes, I heard." (The charismatic dancer I'm meeting for the 3rd time.)

Salimeh: "Well, great, because you and I are going to be competing."

And that was our very first Salsa Competition and the beginning of how we founded Soulful Steps Entertainment.

P.S. We didn't win that night but we won many competitions after that night.
